Native Sons of the Golden West Return for 4th of July BBQ!

July 2, 2019

What’s better than the Native Sons of the Golden West coming to host a Fourth of July BBQ at Epiphany Center? The Native Sons of the Golden West coming TWICE!

Dennis McLaughlin, his wife Carol, and their daughter Erin Rose returned again this year with many family members, and Deacon Larry Chatmon (member of Epiphany's Governing Board) returned to his post on the grill! The wonderful team arrived with all the fixin's  to serve up another beautiful day of fellowship and seriously delicious grilled food for our residents. Our residents and their little ones enjoyed a picnic, relaxing outside on blankets - eating burgers, grilled corn, watermelon, potato salad! Moms enjoyed some downtime while the little ones were chasing bubbles with excitement created by the automatic bubble machine. What could be better!

We were so happy to have our organizations to come together again this year to celebrate our nation's anniversary. We want to say "Thank You" to all who joined in the fun. Epiphany's women and children often are not able to fully celebrate holidays, especially with their loved ones. That is one reason why we so appreciate this effort by the Native Sons. It is inspiring to see organizations compelled to help us, and support our mission.

Epiphany Center hopes to have more events like this in the future, and we are grateful to the Native Sons of the Golden West for once again bringing fun, food, and community to our clients!!

Happy 4th of July!
