Hats off to Epiphany’s Residential Recovery Graduates!
June 30, 2015
On June 25, 2015, Epiphany clients, staff, friends, family, and well-wishers gathered together to celebrate the remarkable achievements of six courageous women who overcame so much in their lives and graduated from the agency’s Residential Recovery Program.
Each new alum had the opportunity to share something of their story that gave a glimpse of their struggles and victories. Affirmations from family and friends spoke to the tremendous effect on the community when a woman chosses recovery, chooses life.
Epiphany Center applauds these amazing women for their hard work, persistence, and willingness to find the strength within to build positive, productive tomorrows for themselves, their children, and our community.
In the words of one of the graduates, “At Epiphany, for the first time in my life, I felt safe, even on my bad days. I feel like I know how to live now. I’m so excited about life now.”
She concluded, quoting Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre, “I remembered that the real world was wide, and that a varied field of hopes and fears, of sensations and excitements, awaited those who had the courage to go forth into its expanse, to seek real knowledge of life amidst its perils.”
The moving ceremony closed with the Serenity Prayer, followed by a candle lighting, reflecting Epiphany’s mission to bring God’s light, healing, and wholeness to women and children.
